Third warning: The BenQ 5J.J2C01.001 lamp has been in operation for 4000 hours. You’ll see this message for 30 seconds along with the LAMP indicator lighting up red for 30 seconds. Replace the lamp immediately.
Final warning: You’re out of time! The BenQ 5J.J2C01.001 has reached end of life. The projector will shutdown in 30 seconds. The lamp MUST be replaced immediately before the BenQ MP711 projector will turn back on.

Installing the new BenQ 5J.J2C01.001 lamp
Before changing the lamp:
- Reduce the risk of electrical shock by disconnecting the power cord on the BenQ MP711 projector.
- Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.
- The lamp cover is found on the bottom of the projector. Turn the projector over onto soft surface to protect the top of the projector. Loosen the two screws holding the BenQ MP711 lamp cover in place. (Use a magnetic screwdriver to make the whole process easier.)
- Remove the lamp cover and place it to one side.
- Remove the BenQ 5J.J2C01.001 lamp cords from the slots.
- Disconnect the BenQ 5J.J2C01.001 lamp connector by pushing it
against the projector while pulling it up.
- Loosen the screw on the BenQ 5J.J2C01.001 lamp. Be sure not to loose the screw as the projector will not turn on unless the lamp is properly secured into the projector. Using a magnetic-head screwdriver will ensure you don’t accidentally drop the screw into the projector!

- Reset the total lamp hour timer.
